CONDENSATE TREATMENT DOSING PUMP

The condensate treatment can be dosed anywhere into the feed water pipe, the chemical is volatile and
is carried across with the steam, dosing it on the low pressure side of the dosing pump saves future
maintenance problems.

The condensate treatment generally performs two tasks though there are exceptions.

1. Filming amines - cover the steel surfaces with a non-wettable film to protect against corrosive condensate.
2. Neutralising Amines - Neutralise the corrosive carbon-dioxide

The configure menu allows for the condensate pump allows the following pump characteristics to be set:

• Stroke Length
• Strokes Per Minute
• Max Stroke Rate
• Capacity in ml/hr

And for the chemical

• Concentration (as a percentage - manufacturers data)
• Neutralisation Ratio
• Reserves to be maintained (BS2486 advises 0.5 to 3gms/tonne for filming amines and
  maintaining a pH of between 8.3 and 9.2 for neutralising amines; refer to manufacturers data)
