HARDNESS CONTROL DOSING PUMP
The Hardness Control pump is added next,
historically the correct dosing point is after the inlet valve just
before the water enters the boiler, this is because phosphates tend to
precipitate out of solution easily and
valve seats can become coated. Modern modern polymers for hardness control do
not exhibit this characteristic
but if you are uncertain of what chemicals will be used during the life of the
boiler then this is a good point to inject.
